UK-based AS Aerospace has begun implementing Tracware’s Aerotrac Web Interface (AWI) and Aerotrac Mobile (ATM-E) software following a successful pilot, with the system expected to go live in November.
The CAMO and Part 145 maintenance provider, which supports helicopter operators, is introducing the technology to extend mobile engineering capabilities across its maintenance operations.
ATM-E is designed for tablet use, allowing engineers to review tasks, record working time, request parts and tooling, add unscheduled tasks and defects, complete maintenance tasks and record inspections.
The associated AWI platform will enable Part 145 administrative staff to review engineering records in real time.
The pilot involved testing both systems within AS Aerospace’s Part 145 environment. Feedback from the company’s team will inform the final implementation stages ahead of the planned launch.
