ORIX Aviation Systems has completed its acquisition of UK-based aviation aftermarket specialist AerFin Limited following receipt of regulatory approvals and satisfaction of all customary closing conditions.
The acquisition marks a significant step in ORIX Aviation’s growth strategy, extending its business into aviation aftermarket services and adding expertise in used serviceable material (USM), airframe and engine components to its established aircraft leasing and asset management operations.
The combined businesses will offer customers a broader range of services, spanning aircraft leasing, asset management, component support and aftermarket solutions.
Established in 1991, ORIX Aviation owns and manages aircraft and provides asset management services to Japanese and international investors and funds through its full-service operating lease platform. The acquisition is expected to strengthen its ability to optimise aircraft value throughout their lifecycle, while supporting the continued development and growth of AerFin’s aftermarket business.
Founded in 2010, AerFin specialises in aircraft and engine disassembly, component management, maintenance, and the sale and lease of serviceable parts. The UK-based company serves airlines, maintenance providers and leasing companies across six continents.
AerFin will continue to operate under its established brand, retaining its market position, technical expertise and customer relationships while benefiting from the global network and financial strength of ORIX Aviation and its parent group, ORIX.
