SAS reports load factor of 80.6% for June 2011

SAS Group’s traffic increased by 4.6% during June and capacity increased 3.4% compared to the same period in 2010. The load factor for the month was up 0.9 pts to 80.6%.
Porter Airlines registered a 64.6% load factor in June, 12.4 points better than last year. Traffic for the month increased 47.9%, while capacity increased 19.5% compared to the same period last year.

Southwest Airlines reported May 2011 traffic results for Southwest Airlines and AirTran Airways. Combined traffic in May 2011 increased 10.6% compared to the same period a year ago, while capacity increased 4.2% from May 2010. The load factor for the month was 82.7% compared to the combined load factor of 77.9% in May 2010.
WestJet announced May traffic results with a load factor of 74.8% down 2.9 pts compared to May 2010. Traffic, increased 3.1% year over year, and capacity grew 7.0% over the same period.
