US Airways and MTU Maintenance Hannover have signed a multi-year CF6-80C2 Engine Maintenance Agreement. The agreement covers overhaul services for the engines which power the airline’s fleet of Boeing 767-200 aircraft, and includes engine accessories. MTU’s relationship of providing engine maintenance services for US Airways dates back to 1993 with America West Airlines.

Norwegian Air Shuttle, the third largest low-cost airline in Europe, is the newest GoldCare customer, with a 12-year agreement that covers the airline’s future 787 Dreamliner fleet. Norwegian has three 787-8s on firm order, with commitments to lease three additional 787s. Norwegian has selected GoldCare Enterprise, which encompasses the complete parts, engineering, and maintenance solution.
Jet Aviation St. Louis has been named an authorized service center for GE’s CF34-3 engine, which powers the Bombardier Challenger series. Air Europa and Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey (LTAA) signed an agreement to support Air Europa’s fleet of General Electric CF34-10E engines with maintenance, repair and overhaul services. The airline based in Mallorca currently operates 11 Embraer 195 which are powered by CF34-10E engines.
Structural assembly of the first A350 XWB aft fuselage destined for the first flying A350 XWB (MSN1) has been completed at Airbus’ manufacturing site in Hamburg (Germany). The fuselage section will now undergo its secondary interior structural assembly and system installation before being delivered to the A350 XWB final assembly line in Toulouse (France). Airbus
Cargo Air has signed a contract with AFI KLM E&M for component support and pool access for their two 737s. Cargo Air has recently invested in a third 737 for which AFI KLM E&M will also be responsible.
TAM MRO has been certified by ANAC (Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency) to provide maintenance services on ATR-72 aircraft with Brazilian registration as well as their components.
