The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG has appointed Carsten Spohr as the future Chairman of the Executive Board & Chief Executive Officer during its last meeting. Carsten Spohr, who currently oversees the business segment Lufthansa Passenger Airlines in his capacity as board member, will assume his new role effective 1 May 2014.
Delta Air Lines’ (DAL) Board of Directors approved the appointment of Wayne Gilbert “Gil” West to executive vice president and chief operating officer effective March 1, 2014. West will succeed Stephen E. Gorman who will retire after leading Delta’s operations divisions since 2007.
