US Airways Group reported February 2013 traffic results. Mainline traffic was up 2.2% versus February 2012 while capacity was down 1.2% versus February 2012. Mainline passenger load factor was a record 81.0% for the month of February, up 2.7 points versus February 2012.
Ryanair released passenger and load factor stats for Jan 2013, with its monthly traffic falling 1% over Jan 2012. The load factor for the month was the same as the previous year, 71%.
Norwegian’s total passenger traffic increased 19% and total capacity increased 24% compared to January 2012 results. The load factor was 72% in January, down 3.0 points.
In January 2013, IAG traffic rose by 0.7% versus January 2012; Group capacity was down 1.0% compared to the previous year. The load factor for January was up 1.3 points to 77%.
AirFrance KLM Group reported January 2013 traffic was the same as in January 2012, while capacity was slightly up 0.4%. The Group load factor was down 0.3 points to 81.4%.
United Continental Holdings reported January 2013 combined operational results for its airline units. UAL’s consolidated traffic in January 2013 increased 0.9% and consolidated capacity decreased 1.9% versus January 2012. UAL’s consolidated load factor in January 2013 increased 2.2 points to 79.9% compared to January 2012.
Republic Airways reported preliminary passenger traffic results for January 2013. The Company’s traffic decreased 4% compared to January 2012, while capacity decreased 9%. Consolidated load factor was 77% versus 72% in the same month last year.
Southwest Airlines’ traffic in January 2013 was down 1.7% compared to January 2012, capacity increased 0.5% compared to the previous year. The January 2013 load factor was 72.7%, compared to 74.3% in January 2012.
SAS Group traffic in January 2013 increased by 3.9%, while capacity was up by 4.6%. The Group’s load factor decreased by 0.5 points to 64.5%.
For the month of January 2013, Copa Holdings’ system-wide passenger traffic increased 21.3% year over year, while capacity increased 21.0%. As a result, system load factor for January 2013 was 79.6%, a 0.2 point increase when compared to January 2012.
