GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) will lease five new Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Hainan Airlines to help expand the carrier’s fleet. The aircraft, scheduled for delivery in 2015, come from GECAS’ existing order book with Boeing. Hainan Airlines is a longstanding GECAS customer and is the largest private airline in the People’s Republic of China.

Hong Kong Airlines has taken delivery of a new Airbus A320 that is the first aircraft to feature sharklets. The Airline’s sixth A320 arrived at the Hong Kong International Airport on March 26th and will commence service by March 27th. Boeing delivered the first 777-200LR passenger aircraft to Turkmenistan’s national flag carrier, Turkmenistan Airlines. The airplane is the first of two 777-200LRs Turkmenistan Airlines has on order. The delivery coincided with the opening of a new terminal at the Ashgabat International airport.

Bombardier’s Global aircraft family celebrated a significant milestone with the entry-into-service of its first Global 6000 business jet to be operated from Mexico. The aircraft was delivered to Aero Angeles S.A de C.V., an aircraft operator based in Mexico.

Skytech-AIC has been appointed by TUI Travel plc to provide advisory services with respect to certain fleet projects commencing in the first quarter of 2014. In addition, TUI has appointed Skytech-AIC to market one Boeing 767-300ER aircraft for sale or sale/leaseback with availability in 2015. Avolon delivered an Airbus A320 to Pegasus Airlines on March 24th, 2014. This is Avolon’s fourth A320 aircraft on lease to Pegasus Airlines. The first aircraft was delivered in November 2013.

Air France-KLM selected the GEnx-1B engine to power its 25 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and 12 leased 787 aircraft. The total engine order is valued at more than $1.7bn. Air France-KLM and GE Aviation have also signed an agreement that will allow Air France-KLM to offer maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for the GEnx-1B engine.

Singapore’s Tigerair has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Airbus for the purchase of up to 50 A320neo aircraft for future fleet renewal and growth.
