Alaska reported an 11.5% increase in traffic on a 6.4% increase in capacity, resulting in a 3.9-point increase in load factor to 84.6%.

Continental Airlines reported a June consolidated load factor of 86.9%, 2.1 points above the June 2009 consolidated load factor. Continental reported that consolidated traffic increased 4.7% and capacity increase of 2.2% compared to June 2009.

Iberia released that in the overall network, load factor improved by 3.5 pts with respect to the previous year, to 81.6%. Traffic grew by 4.8% and capacity went up 0.3%, the first positive variation since August 2008.

American Airlines reported a May load factor of 82.8%, an increase of 3.6 points versus the same period last year. Traffic increased 4.1% and capacity decreased 0.4% year over year.

For the month of May, Air Canada reported a system load factor of 82.0% on a consolidated basis with Jazz (from which Air Canada purchases regional capacity), versus 79.5% in May 2009, an increase of 2.5 percentage points. System traffic increased 9.7% on a system wide capacity increase of 6.4%.

Delta Air Lines reported traffic results for May 2010. System traffic in May 2010 increased 2.7% compared to May 2009 on a 0.6% increase in capacity. Load factor increased 1.6 points to 83.9%.

Republic Airways Holdings reported preliminary passenger traffic results for May 2010. Republic reported that traffic increased 116% from the same month last year, while capacity increased 100%. Consolidated load factor was 82% versus 76% in May 2009.

BA reported that May 2010 traffic fell by 11.5%. Capacity was down 4.7% on May 2009; the strikes accounted for some 6% reduction in capacity. This resulted in a passenger load factor decrease of 5.4 points versus last year, to 69.7%.

Norwegian released that traffic in May 2010 increased by 37% compared to the same period last year, capacity increased by 38% and the load factor for the month was 77%, which is equivalent to last year.

Alaska Air Group reported May operational results for its subsidiaries, Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. Alaska reported a 10.7% increase in traffic on a 4.5% increase in capacity, resulting in a 4.6-point increase in load factor to 81.4%.
