For April 2010 Norwegian reported traffic increase of 1% compared to April 2009, capacity increased 13% and the load factor fell 8.0 pts to 71%.

Republic Airways Holdings reported preliminary passenger traffic results for April 2010. The Company reported a 106% traffic increase from the same month last year, while capacity increased 94%. For April Air Tran Airways reported that traffic grew by 8.1%. The load factor for the month was 81.9% up 1.5 pts compared to the same month in 2009 and capacity was up 6.1%.

Southwest Airlines announced that traffic in April 2010 decreased 0.6% compared to April 2009, capacity decreased 2.9% and the load factor for the month was 78.8%, compared to 77.0% for the same period last year.

Copa Holdings, S.A. and its Copa Airlines and Aero Republica operating subsidiaries, released preliminary passenger traffic statistics for April 2010. Consolidated traffic increased 4.5% compared to the same period in 2009, capacity increased 0.9% and the load factor for the month was up 2.5 pts to 73.5%

US Airways Group announced April 2010 traffic results. Traffic for the month was down 5.0% versus April 2009. Capacity was down 2.5% versus April 2009 and the passenger load factor for the month of April was 82.7%, down 2.1 points versus April 2009.

WestJet announced April traffic results with a record load factor of 84.0%. Traffic increased 12.1% year over year, and capacity grew 8.3% over the same period. The airline flew an additional 70,000 guests in April 2010 compared to April 2009.

Allegiant Air reported preliminary passenger traffic results for April 2010. Traffic increased 12,3% compared to the same period in 2009, while capacity increased 12.1%. The load factor for the month was 87.9% up 0.2 pts.

SAS Group’s traffic increased by 3.4% during March and seat capacity was down 8.8% compared to the same period in 2009. SAS Group carried 2.2 million passengers in March, up 2.1% vs. same period in 2009 and the load factor was 73.1%, up 8.6 p.u. vs. March 2009.
