Continental Airlines reported a March consolidated load factor of 83.1%, 3.7 points above the March 2009 consolidated load factor. Continental reported a consolidated traffic increase of 5.2% and a capacity increase of 0.5% as compared to March 2009.

Alaska reported a 2.9-point increase in load factor to 84.5% in March 2010, compared to 81.6% in March 2009, on a 2.2% increase in capacity compared to the prior-year period. Traffic increased 5.8% compared to March 2009.

JetBlue Airways reported its preliminary traffic results for February 2010. Traffic in February increased 2.7% from February 2009, on a capacity increase of 2.7%. Load factor for February 2010 was 74.5%, the same as February 2009.

Iberia released that the load factor for February 2010 improved by 4.1 points, reaching 80.6%, the highest level among the main network carriers. Capacity reduced by 7.7%, and traffic dropped by 2.8%, with significant increases of load factors in all international sectors. Unit revenues continued to recover, improving over February 2009, despite the 3.6% increase

Austrian Airlines reported that traffic increased 1.7% in February 2010 compared to the previous year, capacity fell by 3.1%, while the load factor for the month improved 3.4 pts to 72%.

Delta Air Lines reported traffic results for February 2010. System traffic in February 2010 decreased 2.6% compared to February 2009 on a 6.1% decrease in capacity. Load factor increased 2.8 points to 77.1%.

SAS Group’s traffic decreased by 3.1% during February and seat capacity was down 10.2% vs. 2009. SAS Group carried 1.8 million passengers in February, up 0.3% vs. 2009. The passenger load factor was 66.9%, up 5 p.u. vs. February 2009.

Southwest Airlines announced that traffic in February 2010 decreased 2.3% from February 2009, capacity decreased 8.7% from the February 2009 level and the load factor for the month was 73.9%, compared to 69.1% for the same period last year.

British Airways reported that traffic in February 2010 rose by 1.1% compared to February 2009 while capacity was down 1.9%. This resulted in a passenger load factor increase of 2.2 points versus last year, to 74.2%.

Norwegian reported that traffic in February 2010 increased by 28%, while capacity increased 32%. The load factor for the month fell by 2 pts to 76%.
