Southwest Airlines reported its fourth quarter and full year 2007 results. Net income for fourth quarter 2007 was $111 million compared to $57 million for fourth quarter 2006. Excluding special items, fourth quarter 2007 net income was $87 million compared to $100 million in fourth quarter 2006.
For the full year 2007 net income was $645 million compared to $499 million for 2006. Excluding special items, full year 2007 net income was $471 million compared to $578 million for full year 2006.
