Rockwell Collins reports 19% net income increase for 3rd quarter

Rockwell Collins reported net income of $174 million for the third quarter of fiscal year 2008, an increase of $28 million, or 19% over fiscal year 2007 third quarter net income of $146 million. Net income growth exceeded revenue growth due to continued margin expansion across both its commercial and government businesses. Earnings per share improved 21 cents, or 24%, to $1.07 compared to earnings per share of 86 cents last year.
