Lufthansa Technik to provide technical support for SunExpress

The newly founded SunExpress Deutschland GmbH has engaged Lufthansa Technik to provide all-round technical support for its entire fleet of six Boeing 737-800 aircraft. SunExpress Deutschland commenced operations on 8 June with three aircraft. Three further airplanes are due to be delivered in the winter. The Total Technical Support (TTS) contract extends from line maintenance to full provisioning with components and materials, including logistics and engine maintenance. Lufthansa Technik will provide line maintenance support at the Frankfurt and Stuttgart stations and for this purpose stocks of components, wheels, brakes and other materials required for maintenance and repair purposes are to be established.
