Taikoo Engine Services receives CAAC, EASA and FAA certification for GE90 overhaul

Taikoo Engine Services (Xiamen) Co. Ltd.  (“TEXL”) has received an extension to its Part 145 Approval Certificates from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (“CAAC”), European Aviation Safety Agency (“EASA”), and U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (“FAA”). TEXL’s facility expansion includes Chemical Cleaning, Mechanical Cleaning, Non-destructive Testing Lines and workshop areas that enable TEXL to perform GE90-110/115B module disassembly to piece parts. TEXL originally received GE90 engine strip, build and test Part 145 approvals in April 2010. TEXL was established in July 2008 as a joint venture between Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (“HAECO”), Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd., Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (“TAECO”) and Xiamen Aviation Industry.
