SR Technics has secured a contract renewal with Thomas Cook Airlines, to provide all Line Maintenance support for aircraft at Belfast International Airport, in Northern Ireland. Under the accord SR Technics’ team at Belfast will provide full line maintenance support on all Airbus A320 and A321 and Boeing 757 aircraft, with transit checks being performed on 767s. From June 24, 2011, support for the airline’s Airbus A330, summer charter flights, will also be provided. This follows an extension to SR Technics’ capabilities after securing the necessary type training on the Airbus A330. In total approximately 20 transit checks across the five aircraft types will be performed each week.
Furthermore SR Technics and SWISS have agreed to continue their close cooperation in the future and signed a five-year contract in Zurich for comprehensive aircraft maintenance and component services. The exclusive agreement covers Heavy Maintenance services, A- and C-Checks, and incorporates full Integrated Component Services for the Airbus fleet of SWISS. The agreement also includes a hangar space sub-lease in Zurich. All maintenance services will be carried out at SR Technics’ facilities in Switzerland.
