Copa Airlines and Lufthansa Technik sign extended component services contract

Copa Airlines and Lufthansa Technik AG have signed a five-year Total Component Maintenance (TCM) contract for the airline’s entire Boeing 737NG fleet, currently consisting of more than 60 Boeing 737-700 and -800 aircraft. Respective services will also be provided to aircraft due to be delivered to Copa Airlines in the next few years. Lufthansa Technik will support Copa Airlines at its main base of operations, the Hub of the Americas at Tocumen International Airport in Panama City, Panama. A 24/7 “aircraft-on-ground” support guarantees a permanent global component support for the airline also in unscheduled situations. The Lufthansa Technik office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida will coordinate the customer support. Maintenance, repair and overhaul services will be carried out at Lufthansa Technik’s component centers in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Hamburg, Germany.
