Bombardier reported its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30th, 2015. Revenues totalled US$4.6bn for the quarter, compared to US$4.9bn for the same period last fiscal year. Excluding foreign exchange impact, revenues are up 2%. Earnings before financing expense, financing income and income taxes (EBIT) totalled US$226m, or 4.9% of revenues, compared to US$257m, or 5.3%, for the same period last fiscal year. Net income totalled US$125m, compared to US$155m for the same period the previous year. On an adjusted basis, net income amounted to US$145m compared to US$192m for the same period a year ago. The overall backlog reached US$64.8bn as at June 30th, 2015, compared to US$69.1bn as at December 31st, 2014.
