Acro Aircraft Seating has been awarded the contract to outfit 50 Airbus A321neo aircraft in the expanding Pegasus Airlines fleet with its innovative Series 9 fixed-back seats. Deliveries to the Turkish low-cost carrier will commence in the first quarter of 2025, with the initial order set to be completed by the end of 2029. There is also potential for an additional fifty aircraft to follow.
The Series 9 seats, upholstered in rich navy vegan leather, will be pre-reclined to a space-enhancing 21.5 degrees and will feature custom trim and finish. This design will include subtle touches of vivid red and bold yellow, reflecting Pegasus Airlines' distinctive livery.
Neil Cairns, CEO of Acro Aircraft Seating, announced the contract: “We are thrilled to be selected as the preferred partner for the dynamic and innovative Pegasus Airlines. We look forward to working with the Pegasus team to create a uniquely bespoke version of our versatile Series 9 seats. The Series 9 is rightly hailed as a game-changer; it optimises passenger living space even in high-density cabins. Its features are ideal for today's market, offering competitive weight and costs, elegant clean lines and a reduced part count for low maintenance and fast turnaround.”
Cairns added: “Above all, the comfort of this leading seat is its unique selling point. Generous passenger width has been achieved without compromising armrest or aisle width, ensuring passengers enjoy exceptional legroom even at a reduced pitch. We are confident that it will be a tremendous success for Pegasus Airlines and their passengers when it takes to the skies.”
