Honeywell has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sino Jet at the Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) show. This agreement aims to expand collaboration between the two companies in aviation services, new technology development and supporting Honeywell's alignment with three critical megatrends, including the future of aviation.
Honeywell has already supplied Sino Jet's fleet with connected services such as datalink subscriptions, navigation and terrain databases, as well as aftermarket parts support. The new MoU builds on this partnership, focusing on advanced connectivity technologies, including Honeywell's cutting-edge JetWave™ X SATCOM system.
JetWave™ X is Honeywell's next-generation SATCOM solution designed for business aviation, offering unparalleled coverage and data speeds. Leveraging Viasat's Ka-band network, including the ViaSat-3 and Global Xpress (GX) satellites, the system ensures connectivity that meets growing passenger demands and supports the most data-intensive applications. JetWave™ X delivers typical speeds exceeding 30 Mbps, with peaks of up to 100 Mbps, even in high-traffic flight corridors.
Building on the success of the original JetWave™ SATCOM system, the new JetWave™ X is designed for simple installation and adaptability, allowing connection to any Viasat Ka-band satellite. This flexibility positions it as a key enabler of next-generation inflight connectivity.
Through this enhanced cooperation, Honeywell and Sino Jet aim to redefine the standards of business aviation connectivity, providing innovative solutions that meet the demands of an evolving aviation landscape.
