Ontic and UK-based engine maintenance specialist CFS Aeroproducts (CFS Aero) have formed a partnership to pursue engine and auxiliary power unit (APU) licensing, transition and support opportunities in the global aerospace market.

The agreement combines Ontic’s product licensing and lifetime support expertise with CFS Aero’s engine and APU maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities, offering original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) a route to transfer mature engine programmes while focusing investment on next-generation propulsion technologies.

CFS Aero brings more than 30 years of experience in engine and APU repair, overhaul, testing and engineering support, while Ontic has transitioned more than 200 aerospace product lines from OEMs under its established licensing model.

The companies said the partnership is intended to ensure long-term support for legacy engine and APU programmes that will remain in service for decades while enabling manufacturers to prioritise future aircraft technologies.
