Boeing appoints Celso Ferrer Latin America President

Boeing has appointed former GOL Linhas Aéreas chief executive Celso Ferrer as President of Boeing Latin America and the Caribbean, effective September 4, 2026.

Ferrer will be responsible for strengthening Boeing’s operations, strategy and presence across the region, as well as supporting growth opportunities throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

He joins Boeing after serving for four years as CEO of Brazilian carrier GOL, where he began his career as an intern.

Before becoming CEO, Ferrer served as GOL’s chief operating officer, overseeing areas including operations, operational safety, airports, planning, network, supply chain and fleet. He previously spent five years as vice president of planning, with responsibilities spanning pricing and alliances.

Ferrer is also a certified airline pilot and previously flew Boeing 737 aircraft as part of GOL’s flight crew.

He holds degrees in economics from the University of São Paulo and international relations from PUC-SP, as well as an Executive MBA from INSEAD in France.
