Embraer and ANA Holdings (ANA HD) have signed an agreement for eight E190-E2 aircraft, formalising the group’s fleet expansion plans announced on July, 29, 2026. The deal builds on ANA HD’s original firm order for 15 E190-E2s, placed in 2025, and increases its total firm orders for the type to 23 aircraft. ANA HD also retains options for a further five E190-E2s.

“This additional E190-E2 order accelerates our efforts to build a sustainable regional aviation network in Japan,” stated Koji Shibata, President and CEO of ANA Holdings. “It also underscores our confidence in Embraer’s technology to reduce both environmental impact and operating costs. We are excited to deepen our partnership, elevating regional connectivity and delivering a superior passenger experience across Japan.”

Arjan Meijer, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, praised ANA HD’s continued commitment to the E2 and said Embraer was ready to support its expansion in Japan. He commented: “With its exceptional economics and fuel efficiency, the E2 will support expanded connectivity across Japan along with better comfort and space for passengers.”

The E190-E2 is part of Embraer’s fuel-efficient E-Jets E2 family, offering lower emissions and noise levels alongside an enhanced passenger experience. Its versatility enables airlines to serve both established and emerging markets efficiently. The latest ANA HD order follows Embraer’s recent delivery of its 2,000th E-Jet, marking a major milestone for the aircraft family.
