Nayak Aircraft Services has acquired a controlling stake in Portugal’s LAS Group, which comprises LAS Maintenance, LAS Training and SLOT-Human Resources. Founder João Louro will retain a shareholding and continue to lead LAS Maintenance as Chief Executive Officer. The acquisition expands Nayak’s European network and strengthens its ability to provide high-quality, customer-focused aviation services.
The integration strengthens Nayak’s presence in Southern Europe while maintaining LAS Group’s existing management, operations and brand. Airline customers will benefit from continued high-quality maintenance support, backed by the resources of a larger international group.
Marco Smit, CEO of Nayak Aircraft Services commented on the acquisition: “What makes this acquisition particularly powerful is the cultural alignment between our organizations,” He continued: “LAS Group brings not only strong technical capabilities but also a mindset that perfectly matches our approach: pragmatic, customer-focused, and collaborative.”
“We strongly believe in empowering local teams while providing the structure and support of a larger group,” added João Louro, CEO and Founder of LAS Maintenance. “Maintaining our management structure and leadership ensures that our clients will continue to receive the exact same quality and service levels they have always trusted, while gaining access to the benefits of a larger European platform. Together, we will continue to grow in a sustainable way, driven by quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.”
