SITA has agreed to acquire Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions, expanding its passenger processing, baggage handling and airport operations technology capabilities as it seeks to deliver more seamless and resilient services across the air transport industry.
Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions provides technology and operational expertise spanning the passenger journey, from check-in and self-service facilities to baggage drop-off and the mission-critical systems that support airport operations.
The acquisition is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of required regulatory approvals.
“Air transport is growing and so are expectations. Our industry increasingly needs technology, innovation and people working together to connect each part of the journey, so disruptions are prevented, or fixed fast when they happen,” said SITA Chief Executive David Lavorel.
The acquisition would expand SITA’s portfolio of products and services, reinforcing its position as a technology partner to the air transport industry, Lavorel said.
Bringing the two businesses together is expected to strengthen support for customers and improve passenger processing, baggage handling and broader airport operations.
