ALOFT AeroArchitects has announced the release of a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for a multi-aircraft cabin interior retrofit on the Boeing 737 series, establishing a modular, repeatable certification pathway for interior upgrades. The approval incorporates multiple technologies from across the aerospace ecosystem, including the first Spectrum Networks aviation-grade smart outlet installed and certified for the platform.
The STC elements advance ALOFT’s MOSAIC concept, a modular and certifiable approach to cabin interiors designed to reduce lead times and simplify certification. While this milestone marks the first installation of a certified Spectrum smart outlet on the Boeing 737, ALOFT has previously integrated Spectrum Networks lighting solutions into aircraft modifications.
“This STC reflects our focus on certifying scalable, multi-vendor cabin retrofit solutions that ensure the best-fit supplier for each application and can be deployed efficiently across fleets,” said Colby Hall, Managing Director of Emerging Technology and Innovation at ALOFT. “By applying the MOSAIC framework to aircraft interiors, we’re enabling operators to implement upgrades with greater predictability and flexibility.”
The Spectrum smart outlet expands ALOFT’s portfolio of certification-ready interior solutions, providing customers with a streamlined path to modernise cabins while maintaining long-term adaptability.
