Universal Avionics (Universal) has secured Brazilian certification for its InSight integrated flight display system, extending the avionics suite’s global approval footprint.
Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) issued a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the installation of InSight on the Cessna Citation VII. The certification adds to existing approvals from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
The Citation VII installation combines the InSight flight display system, including engine indication, with Universal’s flight management system (FMS).
Universal said the Brazilian validation will help streamline flight deck upgrades for aircraft manufacturers and service centres supporting modernisation programmes worldwide.
