FL Technics Engine Services has signed an agreement with Lufthansa Group’s Group Engine Management GmbH to support its engine maintenance requirements, marking a milestone for the relatively young facility.
The agreement covers repair and maintenance services for the CFM56-engine family, strengthening FL Technics Engine Services’ position as a specialist MRO provider for the engine type.
The partnership will also provide an opportunity to exchange expertise and further develop the company’s operational capabilities, as well as build market confidence in its services.
The agreement follows the development of FL Technics Engine Services’ CFM56-focused operations and represents a further step in establishing its processes and standards in collaboration with a major aviation group.
Based in Kaunas, Lithuania, the company operates a purpose-built 3,400 m² engine maintenance facility with eight bays dedicated to the CFM56 family, including the CFM56-3, CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B models.
Its services include engine repairs, module swaps, partial performance restoration, lease-return services and on-wing support. The company said its services are designed to maximise time on wing, reduce operating costs and optimise asset value for customers.
