Satair, an Airbus Services company, and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have signed a long-term agreement for Satair’s Integrated Material Services (IMS) solution. Under this agreement, Satair will provide a wide range of expendable materials customised for SIA. This service will support SIA’s operations in terms of aircraft availability and cost-efficient material handling.

IMS will handle end-to-end supply chain activities related to expendable materials required for SIA aircraft, from forecasting and planning to purchasing and delivery, and will cover expendables needed for line and base maintenance in a defined and continuously growing scope.

Designed in close collaboration with SIA, the tailor-made solution will allow the airline to realise an increase in material availability, alongside a reduction in inventory holding administration-related tasks, and obsolescence and scrap.

Paul Lochab, Chief Commercial Officer at Satair, said, “The demand for our IMS solution is soaring as customers seek more seamless and integrated support to elevate their operations. We’re excited to take performance consistency and material delivery to new heights by tailoring our solution to our customers’ unique needs. With IMS, we’re delivering a game-changing solution that optimises aircraft availability and cost efficiency, freeing up valuable resources for airlines to invest in growth and innovation.”

Signed on the backbone of an existing mutually successful relationship between the two companies, the new agreement represents a significant milestone in the partnership between Satair and SIA, posing a substantially larger commitment toward expendable material. Since 2016,  SIA’s A380s have been supported by an Airbus Flight Hours Services Tailored Support Package (FHS-TSP) solution. This underlines Satair’s position as a reliable multi-fleet service provider and illustrates the strengths of Airbus’ and Satair’s synergistic relationship.
