Mammoth Freighters (Mammoth) has inducted its first Boeing 777-200LR aircraft for conversion at STAECO‘s facility in Qingdao, China, marking an expansion of the US company’s global modification network.
The aircraft, registered as N60VL and owned by Jetran, is the first Mammoth 777 freighter conversion to be undertaken at STAECO.
The induction follows Mammoth’s appointment of STAECO as its latest modification partner, strengthening its presence in Asia’s growing air cargo market.
STAECO brings experience in passenger-to-freighter conversions, technical expertise and additional capacity to Mammoth’s 777 freighter programme, the company said.
The partnership is expected to give aircraft owners and operators greater flexibility in choosing conversion locations, while supporting demand for long-range, widebody freighters in Asia and other markets.
