SAS Group reported second quarter 2011 revenues of MSEK 11,229 compared to MSEK 9,979 in 2010, EBT margin before nonrecurring items in continuing operations was up 3.4% compared to -2.4% in 2010. The Group reported income before tax of MSEK 729 compared to MSEK -600 in the second quarter of 2010. Net income for the period was MSEK 551 compared to MSEK -502 in 2010.
President and CEO Rickard Gustafson commented:”The second quarter of 2011 was the strongest since 2008 and in recent months, we have achieved record levels for the load factor, noted increased customer satisfaction and are once again Europe’s most punctual airline, despite continued intense competition.”
