Honeywell and Vietjet Air have signed a five-year exclusive agreement for the maintenance of Honeywell’s 331-350 auxiliary power units (APUs) on the airline’s Airbus A330 fleet. Covering 30 wide-body aircraft, the deal expands the existing partnership between the two companies and underscores Honeywell’s role as a key aftermarket provider in the Asia-Pacific region.
Announced during the Paris Air Show, the agreement builds on Honeywell’s current support for Vietjet’s A330 operations. As Vietjet pursues ambitious growth — including firm orders for 20 more A330neo aircraft and 200 Boeing 737 Max jets — securing trusted and scalable technical support is vital to sustaining its expanding network.
The new APU maintenance programme will help Vietjet boost operational efficiency, reliability and fleet readiness. The 331-350 APUs known for their durability and performance, offering critical support for power generation during ground operations.
Dr. Dinh Viet Phuong, CEO of Vietjet, noted the company’s ongoing confidence in Honeywell, citing the firm’s global service expertise and dependable technology. The partnership, he said, is key to scaling wide-body operations while maintaining cost-effective performance.
With a strong track record in aviation systems and services, Honeywell continues to serve as a strategic partner to airlines worldwide. This latest agreement not only reinforces its commitment to Vietjet but also highlights its ability to meet the evolving demands of fast-growing carriers in dynamic markets.
